English Foxhound Description:The origin of the English Foxhound dates back to the 17th century. This breed was created from cross breeding between Fox Terrier, Greyhound and Bulldog. It was primarily used for hunting fox. The breed was first recognized by the AKC in 1909. |
English Foxhound Care & Grooming:The English Foxhound is an average shedder. Its short and hard coat is easy to maintain. Brushing its coat once or twice in a week with a firm bristle brush and almost daily brushing during shedding season, and also rubbing its body with a damp towel once in a while are sufficient to maintain a healthy looking coat. It should be bathed only when necessary. Its eyes and ears should be cleaned properly to avoid any infection. |
